Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus, we have had to cancel the rambles until further notice. As soon as we are able, we will restart these and advise you of the details.
The Happy Wanderers are led by Rambling Ron
The wanderers are local people who enjoy a pleasant walk in our beautiful countryside.
We meet at St Ninian’s Church on the last Saturday of the month at 8:30 am. The routes are always a loop and are approximately 6 miles long, we return usually at around 12:30 to 1:00 pm. From March to October Ron rambles twice a month if there is sufficient interest.
The Residents’ Association minibus is used to take us to our starting point. If the bus is full, some drivers use their cars and take passengers.
We ask for a donation of £3.50/person towards fuel, this is paid whether you travel by the minibus or private car.
The routes are varied and are usually on the South Downs. Rambling Ron researches points of interest to add enjoyment to the walks.
Walks have included Lavington and Graffham, Heyshott, West Dean Woods, Amberley, Rowlands Castle and many more.
On our November walk, the last of the year, we enjoy a well-earned lunch together.
