MILESTONES MUSEUM, BASINGSTOKE
Our next day trip will be on Sunday 4th September when we will be visiting Milestones Museum in Basingstoke. Immerse yourself in the past at Hampshire’s Museum of living history, exploring the maze of Victorian and 1930s streets packed with shops, factories and houses, mostly based on original buildings from in and around Basingstoke.
Buy a ration of sweets in the 1940s sweet shop or a pint of beer in The Baverstock Arms. The collection includes vintage vehicles, a teddy bear museum and even a pier with traditional arcade games for you to try.
There is a café serving hot and cold food and drinks and a gift shop selling all kinds of vintage toys, games and gifts.
On our way back from the museum we will be making a stop at Whiteley Village with its variety of shops and cafes.
The coach will be leaving Pagham at 8.30am and we should return before 6.00pm.
The cost of this outing, for members only, is £30, which includes your entry to the museum.
To book a place please see Mary at one of our coffee mornings or telephone her on 01243 278359.
